The Death Space

Death Doula? End of Life Doula? Who Am I?
Is it just semantics? Or is it a clear distinction? It's something I've been thinking about for a couple of years now but in the last year the answer has revealed itself through the day to day of working as a doula: I am both.

What is a Death Doula?
When you're facing a life-ending diagnosis, navigating the field of death care can be daunting. You’re dealing with paperwork, doctors, nurses, sometimes social workers, sometimes hospice, distraught friends and family, plus your own fears and concerns. It can be incredibly stressful and the worries over things undone or left unsaid can become buried under that avalanche.
